Changing the world together
Bethesda Gospel A. G. Church is a contemporary Christian Church. We are passionate about reaching souls for Jesus Christ , molding them to be a true disciple of Christ. Everything we do is about Him and for Him. We are passionate about growing believers in their relationship with Christ. We are a local church with global vision. Our focus is on being a dynamic church that reaches out with the love of Christ to those lost, left alone and hurting in our community, our nation, and around the world.
Justin Monickom is the senior pastor of Bethesda Gospel A. G. Church. His messages influence generations and outreaches that put God’s love and compassion in action. He and his wife, mrs. kamalam, lives in Kulasekharam, Kanyakumari Dist, and have two children and three grand children. The second son Shain Justin and his wife, Rini Roy, serving the Lord in the main campus.
Before the Lord’s call, my wife and I were working in secular jobs. While my wife was an accountant in the State Bank of India, I was a Service Technician for a Drug and Medicine Manufacturing Pharmaceutical Company. In April 1984, urged by the Holy Spirit, both of us resigned our secular jobs and stepped out to serve the Lord Jesus Christ full time. Both our extended families did not appreciate this decision and rejected us; and demonstrated their anger by not permitting us entry into any of their homes.
We were commissioned by the Lord in regular gospel, evangelistic, and revival gatherings from June 1984 through 1990. We started our own church in 1990 in accordance with the Lord’s guidance. The Lord sent us to Kulasekharam, Kanyakumari in South India, where we were to serve Him there. We began our mission here, renting a modest home. Every day was a battle. This first phase of our mission was characterized by starvation, poor clothing, a lack of resources, and opposition to the Lord’s work. However, the wonderful and trustworthy Lord, whose purpose it was to start the ministry, assisted us in bringing many people to salvation, including those who had rejected our work in that town with violence. We went door-to-door and preached the gospel to the spiritually apathetic and hardened folks.
As this ministry took shape, we were compelled by the Lord to spread the good news to the native tribes residing in the neighbouring mountains and forests. We had to walk for about 4-5 kilometres through these hazardous places to get to human settlement. Both among the inhabitants of the plains and the tribes living in the surrounding forest, we maintain these ministries.
After a while, we bought some land and constructed a tiny church. The congregation expanded in size. But the Lord granted us grace to overcome obstacles and opposition.
Despite the apparent risks and challenges, we are still working there for the Lord. In addition to serving the Lord in Killikonam, we also operate among the tribal people in areas like Praamalai and Manalodai.
We provide them with schooling since neither the elders nor the young children are literate. We provide these tribe members with free clothing as one of our many assistance measures. Kulasekharam, Maraan Konam, Palliyadi, Kottiyodu, Pallam, and in tribal regions like Killikonam, Vekkalumoodu, and Manalodai are some of the places that my ministry for the Lord spans.
I want your prayers for every ministry the Lord has given me.
We have a special Fasting prayer on comin Saturday @ our church campus from morning 10:00 to evening 4:00 with Guest preacher Rev. Jeba Yesudhas. And trust you will never be the same and this will be a life changing experience.
